Education Ph.D. 2009 Tulane University M.A. 2005 Tulane University B.A. 2002 Tsinghua University Vivian Fang holds a PhD and a Master's degree from Tulane University and a BA degree in business administration from Tsinghua University in China. Her research interests lie in the intersection of corporate finance and financial accounting, with a focus on the real effects of trading in financial markets and executive compensation. Her work has been published or is forthcoming in the Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Financial Studies, Management Science, and cited by the Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, and Economist. She has taught Financial Statement Analysis at Tulane University, Accounting for Mergers & Acquisitions at Rutgers University, is now teaching Intro to Financial Accounting at Carlson. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified General Accountant (CGA, Canada). She has also passed all three levels of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) exams.
