David Jenkins, PhD, LCSW, is Professor and Chair of the Department of Social Work and also serves as MSW Program Director. Dr. Jenkins received his BS in Business Administration and MSW from LSU, and his PhD from the FSU College of Social Work in Family Therapy. Dr. Jenkins has practiced primarily in mental health and drug rehabilitation settings. His research focuses on the impact of marginalization of individuals and families with a specific interest in the lives of gays and lesbians. He has taught Micro Practice, Human Behavior and the Social Environment, Groups, Advanced Practice, Family Therapy, Diversity, Addictions, Introduction to Social Work, and a Leadership course for the Honors College.
