I'm Dean Emeritus of the School of Education and Professor of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies. My primary program area is Higher Education and Student Affairs. I'm also an Adjunct Professor of Counseling and Educational Psychology and Adjunct Professor of Public Health. I'm affiliated with the Center for Postsecondary Research and the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies. In addition, at the request of President McRobbie I'm serving as special advisor to the IU Office of International Affairs on Cuba initiatives.
Dr. Gonzalez is Dean Emeritus and Professor of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at the Indiana University School of Education. From July 1, 2000 until June 30, 2015 he served as University Dean of the School. In that role, he directed administrative and budgetary activities of the School on the Bloomington and Indianapolis campuses and provided academic oversight to education programs on the six regional campuses of IU.
