简介

For more information, please follow the links on my website (http://profile.educ.indiana.edu/rkunzman). I teach in both Curriculum Studies and Philosophy of Education, as well as the Teacher Education minor. My courses include "What is a Good Education?" "Shaping Education: Children, Parents, and the State," "Dialogue and Difference: Ethics, Religion, and Democracy in Education," and "Preservice Teacher Socialization." I am the Martha Lea and Bill Armstrong Chair for Teacher Education, and oversee the Armstrong Teachers Program, which brings together exemplary teachers throughout the state of Indiana for professional development and mentorship. My scholarship examines the intersection of education, religion, and citizenship, particularly in the context of K-12 education in the United States. I have spent the last ten years focusing intensively on the phenomenon of homeschooling--its various philosophies, practices, and policies. I serve as Managing Director for the International Center for Home Education Research (ICHER.org), a nonpartisan organization which provides expert information and analysis on homeschooling research for journalists, policymakers, and scholars. My book on the topic--Write These Laws on Your Children: Inside the World of Conservative Christian
