nthony E. Grudin earned his M.A. and PhD. from the University of California, Berkeley, where he was a multi-year Jacob K. Javits Scholar. He received his B.A. from Reed College, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa. Grudin is the author of Working Class Warhol (under contract with University of Chicago Press). His articles and reviews have appeared in October, Art Journal, Criticism, Oxford Art Journal, 13 Most Wanted Men: Andy Warhol and the 1964 World's Fair (Queens Museum/Andy Warhol Museum, 2015), and Warhol: Headlines (National Gallery, 2011). He has curated exhibitions on the Pictures Generation and contemporary photography, and is currently writing a book on Warhol’s interest in animal life. Grudin’s recent and upcoming courses include The Problem of the Animal, Identity & Diversity in Postmodern Art, The Pictures Generation, Art of the Sixties, and Methods and Theories of Art History.
