简介

I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Lingusitics at Stanford University. My main research interests lie in syntax, morphology, and prosody, as well as the interactions among them. A major goal of my research is to understand the structure of sentences and words. My main empirical focus is on Slavic and Balkan languages, and I have done research on Bulgarian, Macedonian, Russian, Czech, and Modern Greek. Other languages I have worked on include Chamorro (Austronesian) and Tsez (Northeast Caucasian). I rely on various kinds of empirical data -- from grammaticality judgments based on one-on-one fieldwork with native-speaker consultants, to psycholinguistic data gathered in experimental studies of syntax and morphology. Prior to joining Stanford, I received my PhD in Linguistics from UC Santa Cruz and AB in Computer Science from Harvard.
