Jacki joined UA Theatre & Dance this fall as an Assistant Clinical/Lecture-Track Faculty and Costume Production Specialist. In this role, Jacki is responsible for draping and building costumes for each production as well as instructing classes in costume technology for graduate students. She previously served as a costume technician at Tulane University Theatre and Dance and taught costume technology at Auburn University. Jacki received her BA in Speech/Theatre from Louisiana Tech University and MFA in Costume Technology from The University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Jacki has worked as a professional costumer for theatres across the country including The Utah Shakespeare Festival (Cedar City, UT), The Alley Theatre (Houston, TX), Florentine Opera Company (Milwaukee, WI), Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival (Lake Tahoe, NV), PlayMakers Repertory Company (Chapel Hill, NC), and New American Theatre (Rockford, IL). Jacki is also a Certified Teacher with The Society of American Fight Directors. Her work as a professional Fight Choreographer has been seen at Georgia Shakespeare (Atlanta, GA), Fanfactory (Houston, TX), The Ensemble (Houston, TX), and Falcon Productions (Cincinnati, OH). As a stage combat instructor, Jacki has instructed classes and workshops at institutions including Tulane University (New Orleans, LA), University of Georgia (Athens, GA), University of Nebraska (Lincoln, NE), University of Houston (Houston, TX), University of North Carolina School of the Arts (Winston-Salem, NC), Columbia College (Chicago, IL), Louisiana Tech University (Ruston, LA), Regent University (Virginia Beach, VA), and Troy University (Troy, AL).
