Ping Xu is a Professor in Program of Environmental Design at University of Colorado Boulder and a fellow of Society of Applied Anthropology. She teaches senior architectural design studio, architectural graphics and Feng-Shui. She serves as a referee of scholarly manuscripts for Journal publications. Her research article on rock worship in Chinese gardens is published in 2014 in the International Journal of Arts and Sciences. Her research on landscape patterns of mountain flood impact zones was presented at the International Conference of Environment and Renewable Energy 2015 in Vienna, Austria. In June 2015 she won an award for one of the best research articles published in the Peer Reviewed Proceedings of International Conference of Digital Landscape 2015 at Bauhaus, Germany
