Dan's primary research interest is in pediatric rehabilitation engineering; specifically the development of new technology to diagnose and treat disabled children. He is especially interested in cognitive rehabilitation of children with brain injury and other neurological or cognitive disorders. This work involves the development of new kinds of pediatric user-interfaces to biomedical devices interfaces which are appealing to children, and which allow the children to operate diagnostic and therapeutic instruments.
