Germain Choffart is from Saint Avold, France. He received his Master's in French literature from the University of Kentucky. He completed his Licence (B.A.) at the Université de Metz, France, where he specialized in American & British history, American & British literature, English grammar and linguistics. His current research interests focus on French culture, the pedagogical applications of technology and second language acquisition. He works as the French Cultural Advisor for the French Department in the Romance Studies Department at Duke. Germain Choffart is also an actor interested in theater, film, dance and all performing arts.
