Maria received her Ph.D. in Slavic Linguistics from Ohio State University in 2011. She taught Russian language, culture and teaching methodology courses at the Ohio State University since 2000. Maria has served as a visiting faculty at the Indiana University Summer Workshop in Slavic, East European and Central Asian Languages. Her interests include second language acquisition and language pedagogy, proficiency testing, and materials development.
