简介

I maintain an active research laboratory involving undergraduate, graduate students and postdoctoral researchers studying the systematics, ecology, and biogeography of freshwater fish species. In addition to North America, my research is focused on species and ecosystems in southeast Asia, Chile, Kazakstan, Russia, Turkmenistan, and Mexico. I also oversee the Cypriniformes Tree of Life International Collaborative research initiative that involves scientists from around the world. Visit www.cypriniformes.org to learn more. Along with numerous collaborators in the USA and Mexico I am involved with a large-scale and long-term study of Mexican trout species and the aquatic biodiversity of the northwestern Sierra Madre Occidental of Mexico.
