Thomas P. Boehm is the Goodner Professor of Bnaking in the Department of Finance in the Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Prior to coming to the University of Tennessee, Dr. Boehm received his doctoral degree in economics from Washington University in Saint Louis. Professor Boehm has taught real estate finance and investment courses in the undergraduate and MBA programs at the University of Tennessee since his arrival in 1979. Currently, he is the Finance Department’s faculty coordinator and a core faculty member in the Professional MBA program in the College of Business. Professor Boehm’s research interests include housing economics and public policy, and real estate finance and investment analysis. His work in these areas has appeared in academic journals such as the Review of Economics and Statistics, the Southern Economic Journal, the Journal of Urban Economics, the Journal of Housing Economics, Real Estate Economics (formerly the Journal of the American Real Estate and Urban Economics Association) and the Journal of Banking and Finance. In addition, he has done a number of studies for the state government on public policy and resource management issues. He has also has done contract research for the Department of Housing and Urban Development and the Fannie Mae Foundation on housing and mortgage market policy issues.
