Susanne is a cultural and literary historian focusing on 19th-/20st century Germany with a research emphasis on resistance literature, particularly resistance to National Socialism, and a passion for foreign language acquisition and drama pedagogy. She has re-introduced the J-Term in Berlin and together with Professor Joan Piorkowski (UST English Dept) will be taking a group of UST students to Germany in January of 2015. Besides regularly presenting at regional and national conferences, Susanne has published on resistance literature and drama pedagogy. Susanne M.
