Pavli Mykerezi was born and raised in Albania. As a lifelong learner he pursued a M.S. and a Ph.D. degree in Career & Technical Education from Virginia Tech. His research was focused on the role of career and technical education in socio-economic development. Pavli has 14 years of experience with the Agricultural Technology Program. He started as a graduate teaching assistant, part time instructor, full time instructor and is currently the director of the program. He loves the program because during time in the program, he has been convinced that AT is a viable, worthy, and important component to the needs of the agricultural industry. Pavli received his B.S. degree in Physics in 1977 from the University of Tirana and M.S. in Teaching Physics from the University of Tirana in 1988. For nearly 23 years he served in the education system in Albania starting as a physics teacher, director general in an Agricultural Polytechnic School, and inspector of education. Pavli came to the United States in the fall of 1999. The courses he teaches include Applied Agricultural Mathematics, Computer Applications, and Contemporary Agricultural Issues. Pavli is married and his wife is a teacher in Montgomery County Public Schools. They have two sons, both studied at Virginia Tech. They are proud to be a Hokie family. They live in Blacksburg.
