Weihsin Gui researches and teaches anglophone postcolonial literatures of the Caribbean, South Asia, and Southeast Asia, modern and contemporary British literature, postcolonial theory, and cultural theories of nationalism, diaspora, and globalization. He is currently working with Ohio State University Press on his book, National Consciousness and Literary Cosmopolitics: Postcolonial Literature in a Global Moment. He is also the editor of an anthology of essays on the Singaporean poet Arthur Yap, Common Lines and City Spaces, which is forthcoming from the Institute of Southeast Asian Studies Press. His work has been published in Journal of Commonwealth Literature, Journal of Postcolonial Writing, Quarterly Literary Review Singapore, and Novel: A Forum on Fiction.
