Prior to joining Michigan Tech, Spiros Bakiras was an associate professor in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at John Jay College, City University of New York. Before that, he held teaching and research positions at the University of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He is a recipient of the U.S. National Science Foundation CAREER award.
