Dan grew up in North Carolina, attending North Carolina State University where he earned a B.S. in accounting. He then earned a Ph.D. in accounting at Louisiana State University. He is interested in understanding how accounting information maps into stock price. He is also interested in measuring earnings quality and understanding how the influence of auditors on firms’ earnings quality. Dr. Eshleman previously held a position at Oklahoma State University. Dan’s research has been presented at academic conferences and hedge funds. In his spare time, he likes to read books, meditate, play basketball, and cook.
