Will W. Adams completed a B.S. at the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill, an M.A. in Psychology at West Georgia College, and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Duquesne University. He previously served as a Clinical Fellow in Psychology at McLean Hospital/Harvard Medical School. He works as an Associate Professor of Psychology at Duquesne University, and as psychotherapist and ecopsychologist in private practice. Dr. Adams' scholarship has appeared in The Humanistic Psychologist, Journal of Humanistic Psychology, Journal of Transpersonal Psychology, ReVision, Journal of Phenomenological Psychology, Existential Analysis, and Psychoanalysis and Contemporary Thought. He is a member of the Editorial Board of The Humanistic Psychologist and The Journal of Humanistic Psychology. Dr. Adams' special interests include ecopsychology, contemplative spirituality, and psychotherapy. Regarding his theoretical approach, he works from a perspective that integrates existential and hermeneutic phenomenology, relational psychoanalysis, Gestalt therapy, transpersonal psychology, and contemplative spirituality (especially Zen Buddhism and Christian mysticism). He is blessed with a wonderful wife, daughter, and son.
