Mrs. Staltari is the Director of Clinical Education for the Department of Speech-Language Pathology. She has been a practicing speech-language pathologist for 20 years, working with both pediatric and adult populations. Her areas of interest include communication disorders that result from neurological impairment in the adult population, as well as pediatric motor speech disorders. At Duquesne she provides clinical instruction to students working with adults who have neurological impairments, and pediatric clients with speech production disorders. In addition to clinic instruction, in the classroom, Mrs. Staltari teaches pre-professional students basic clinic methods and skills, serving as a foundation for beginning clinical practicum. At the graduate level, she orients students to the fundamentals of assessing communication disorders. Mrs. Staltari is the faculty advisor to the Duquesne University chapter of the National Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association (NSSLHA).
