Jennifer Padden Elliott is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Clinical, Social and Administrative Sciences in the School of Pharmacy at Duquesne University. She is also a clinical pharmacy specialist with the Children's Institute of Pittsburgh and Director of the Pediatrics Concentration at Duquesne University. Dr. Elliott received her PharmD from Duquesne University and completed an ASHP-accredited General Pharmacy Practice Residency at Trinity Health System, Duquesne University, and Palliative Therapeutics, LLC. As a clinical pharmacy specialist in the area of pediatrics with The Children's Institute, Dr. Elliott is responsible for patient consultation, monitoring high risk medication use and appropriate antibiotic use, and providing drug information services to both inpatient and outpatient programs. She also oversees the medication reconciliation program. She is a preceptor for students in the Pediatric Concentration as well as others who elect to take a pediatric rotation as part of their Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE). As director of the Pediatric Concentration, she oversees successful completion of three elective pediatric courses and one pediatric APPE. She is the course master of Pediatric Pharmacotherapy: A Focus on Ambulatory Care and co-course master for Therapeutics in Special Populations.
