Anne Calderón is a Visiting Clinical Assistant Professor of Spanish at Catholic University. She holds a PhD from Georgetown University and MA and BA degrees from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Her doctoral dissertation, “Level of intake, depth of processing, and type of linguistic item in L2 development,” reflects her research interests in applied linguistics and cognitive science. She has presented her research at many conferences and also has several publications, including chapters in the recent books, “Georgetown University Round Table on Languages and Linguistics (GURT) 2012 Proceedings” and “Noticing: L2 studies and essays in honor of Dick Schmidt.” Dr. Calderón currently serves as the Spanish 103 Course Chair and professor of several Spanish courses; she also co-chairs the Spanish Club and runs the Spanish Conversation Hour.
