Dr. Will C. Rainford became Dean of the National Catholic School of Social Service in June 2013. Prior to his appointment, Dean Rainford was the Director of the Worden School of Social Service at Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas. He is nationally recognized for his work as a social justice advocate and administrator in higher education in social work. Dean Rainford has received numerous honors for his service, including the Catholic Charities USA Volunteer of the Year and the Boise State University Larry Selland Humanitarian Award. His scholarly work focuses on social development, social work pedagogy, and poverty in America. Dean Rainford earned his Ph.D. at the University of California at Berkeley and Master of Social Work at the George Warren Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis. He received his Bachelor of Social Work at San Jose State University. Dean Rainford and his wife, Rosio Gonzalez-Rainford, who is an Associate Director at Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington, DC, attend Holy Tirinity Parish in Washington, DC.
