Rosemarie Ruiz Houghton (M.A.T. Jacksonville University, B.M., University of Miami) has studied voice extensively with opera singers Mildred Miller and Frances Yeend. She is now a student of George Gibson, professor emeritus of Cincinnati Conservatory of Music.
She has given numerous recitals throughout Florida, Pennsylvania and the Washington DC area. Rosemarie has performed with the Pittsburgh Opera, has appeared as soloist with the National Symphony in Beethoven’s Chorale Fantasy and frequently appears with the “In Series” in zarzuela (Spanish music theater) productions. She has performed at the Ateneu in Barcelona as part of the Barcelona Festival of Song. She also performed as one of the witches in the Pittsburgh Renaissance and Baroque Society's production of Dido and Aeneas under the direction of Andrew Parrott.
