My professional focus is helping leaders of all types nurture human and organizational potential. In my practice, I have focused on organizational learning, organization development, strategic planning and evaluation. I've been fortunate to work with students, clients, partners and research participants from nearly every sector: corporations, healthcare organizations, government, higher education, K12, the military and non-profits. Regardless of the setting, I have a strong orientation toward integrating theory, research and practice in the most meaningful ways possible. Here at Pacific, I'm leading the development of a comprehensive set of education programs on the Sacramento Campus. I also teach and work with students at the Stockton Campus. Prior to joining the faculty at Pacific, I worked as a faculty member in the School of Education at Drexel University. In the six years prior, I worked in the Organizational Leadership and Learning Program at the University of Louisville. I left as an Associate Professor (with tenure). I served as Program Director, leading a faculty team for three degree programs (B.S., M.S., Ph.D.), offered at seven sites and online, including Panama City, Panama and Fort Knox. When I left, the program had enrollment of over 550 students, 12 full-time faculty members and 25 part-time faculty members. I also directed the Online Workforce Development Project with the National Research Center for Career and Technical Education. This federally-funded research effort examined online workforce development in community colleges across the U.S. My other experiences include managing online programs at the University of Illinois, serving as a human resources manager in a Fortune 100 company, and working in employee learning and development for a mid-sized corporation.
