Yunzeng Wang was named permanent dean for of the UCR School of Business Administration (SoBA) in January 2014 after serving as the interim dean since October 2011. He first joined the SoBA faculty in July 2008 as the Dean’s Distinguished Scholar in Supply Chain Management and Professor of Finance and Management Science and has served as Associated Dean of Academic Programs.
Previously, Dean Wang served on the faculty of the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University (1999-2006), and then on the faculty of the School of Management at The University of Texas at Dallas (2006-2008). At UT-Dallas, he developed successful graduate programs in supply chain management, in particular serving as the founding director of the Master Degree Program in Supply Chain Management as well as the director of the Ph.D. Program in Operations Management. Dean Wang studied at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania from 1993 to 1997 and obtained his Ph.D. degree in operations management. Prior to moving to the United States in 1993, he studied at the University of Waterloo in Canada, and obtained a master's degree in management sciences. Dean Wang also holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Shandong University in China, and a master’s degree in engineering management from the Harbin Institute of Technology in China.
