Dr. Brandon's research focuses on factors impacting audit quality. His work appears in a variety of journals including: Auditing: A Journal of Practice & Theory, Contemporary Accounting Research, Behavioral Research in Accounting, the Journal of Accountancy, the Journal of Accounting Education, and The CPA Journal. Dr. Brandon teaches in both the graduate and undergraduate programs including: Advanced Auditing, Intermediate Accounting, and Principles of Financial Accounting. He has been the recipient of multiple teaching awards at both Auburn and Virginia Tech. Prior to returning to graduate school, he was on the audit staff at Witt, Mares & Company.
