Hubert Feild is Torchmark Professor of Management in the College of Business. After leaving Exxon, he entered the University of Georgia and received a PhD in industrial psychology. He has published articles in numerous journals such as the Journal of Applied Psychology, Personnel Psychology, and the Academy of Management Journal and has consulted with organizations such as SONY, GE, and PPG Industries. His most recent book is Human Resource Selection (Harcourt) that he coauthored with Robert Gatewood. He has served as an ad-hoc reviewer for a number of journals and has served as an external reviewer for the National Science Foundation.
