Dr. Koppenhaver is currently the chairperson of the Department of Finance, Insurance and Law at Illinois State University. Prior to coming to Illinois State, Dr. Koppenhaver held a joint appointment as a Professor in the Finance Department and in the Economics Department at Iowa State University. He was employed by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago as a senior economist prior to joining Iowa State University and has been an economic consultant to the Federal Reserve of Bank of Dallas. Dr. Koppenhaver has also held faculty appointments at Southern Methodist University, Loyola University of Chicago, and DePaul University.
