Mr. Dennhardt joined the School of Theatre faculty at Illinois State in 2001 and teaches physical approaches to acting. He is the resident fight director for the Illinois Shakespeare Festival and serves as a movement consultant for productions in the School of Theatre. Mr. Dennhardt‘s work as a fight director/movement consultant has been featured at many nationally and regionally recognized venues including the Shakespeare Theatre in Washington DC, The Dallas Theater Center, The Joseph Papp Public Theatre, Theatre for a New Audience, Madison Repertory Theatre, and others. His professional affiliations include certification as a fight director by the Society of American Fight Directors (SAFD) as well as certification as a teacher of the Alexander Technique by the American Society for Teachers of the Alexander Technique (AmSAT). He received his MFA in Theatre (Directing) from Western Illinois University and his BA from Augustana College.
