Cassie is very excited to be joining the faculty and staff of the School of Theatre and Dance as the new Light Shop and Sound Shop Supervisor. This program holds a special place in her heart as she is a graduate from the MFA program. She received her MFA in Lighting Design several years ago and has been putting her degree to use ever since. After graduation, Cassie moved to Chicago and spent several years working as an over-hire electrician and freelance lighting designer in the city and surrounding area. Since moving back to Bloomington-Normal she has had the privilege to design for ICC in Peoria, Heartland Theatre Company here in Normal, and the Illinois Shakespeare Festival at Ewing Manor to name a few. She can't wait to see what fun and excitement this year will bring now that she is back on campus. Go Red Birds!
