Mr. Wille is currently serving as the Interim Director of the School of Art, having started in this capacity in July, 2014. Previous to this role, he enjoyed being Visiting Artist Program coordinator this past year. He has been at Illinois State University since 2001, having taught a wide range of courses within the Painting and Drawing curriculum throughout his tenure. He has served on many MFA thesis committees, and regularly advises graduate students in independent study coursework. He keeps an active studio practice of painting in his downtown Bloomington loft studio, and regularly exhibits his work and lectures on his paintings. In the last few years, Wille has mounted solo exhibitions at Hoffman LaChance Contemporary in St. Louis, the University of Mississippi (Oxford, MS), Violet Poe Projects (Bloomington, IL) and the Peoria Art Guild (IL). He has lectured at the University of Iowa, the University of KwaZulu-Natal (South Africa) and Temple University - Japan (Tokyo) amongst many other venues. He received his MFA in Painting from Bowling Green State University (OH) and his BFA from Millikin University (IL).
