Rebecca Blatt leads Cronkite’s PIN Bureau, a professional program in which students help journalists across the country deepen reporting and engage with diverse audiences. Students in the PIN Bureau use American Public Media’s Public Insight Network, an online community of more than 215,000 sources who have volunteered to share insight with journalists. The PIN Bureau immersion program blends reporting, audience engagement and entrepreneurship, and under Blatt’s leadership received ASU’s prestigious President’s Award for Innovation. Prior to joining the Cronkite faculty, Blatt worked in public radio at NPR, WUNC and WAMU, where her work earned numerous regional and national awards.
