Prior to coming to Watson, Jonas Nahm completed a PhD in Political Science at MIT. He holds an MA in Political Science and Asia-Pacific Studies from the University of Toronto and a BA in Social and Political Science from the University of Cambridge.
Jonas Nahm is Postdoctoral Fellow in International Studies at the Watson Institute. His research focuses on the political economy of development and industrial upgrading, the politics of innovation, and the political economy of the energy sector. In addition to China – his primary focus for the exploration of these themes – his research draws on cases in Germany and the United States. His dissertation project examines processes of industrial development and technological innovation in the context of global wind and solar industries.
