Prior to joining the faculty at the University of Utah, Holmes served as a faculty member in the Department of Management in the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin. As a faculty member in the McCombs School, Holmes was twice named to the Faculty Honor Roll, a teaching excellence award presented to only ten faculty members each year.
