Prior to joining The University of Texas at Dallas in 2014, Prof. Barton was a post-doctoral associate in the Microsystems Technology Laboratories at MIT developing rf power circuits with high efficiency over a wide range of operating conditions. She is member of the IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society, and received the Goodwin Medal for conspicuously effective teaching at MIT and the Analog Devices Outstanding Student Designer Award in 2011
