[As Head of the Film Studies Division I authored a successful petition to the Utah State Board of Regents to approve the change in name and status of our academic unit from a division within the College of Fine Arts to one of six departments in the college.] Previously, Director of Graduate Studies in Film Studies July 2003 to April 2007; employed in `ilm at the University of Utah from August 1990 to the present. The Film & Media Arts Department at the University of Utah teaches `ilm production, history, theory, criticism, screenwriting, animation, and games. Princeton Review rates the department’s Entertainment Arts and Engineering Emphasis the number two undergraduate game design program in the country. The department grants BA and MFA degrees. The current student population is approximately 505 undergraduates and 17 graduate students. The department also serves 125 computer science undergraduates in their undergraduate game program
