Chris Walker was appointed the Field Director for the Social Work program at UAB in 1999. Before coming to UAB she was employed with the Jefferson County Department of Human Resources in the Child Welfare Division for 21 years where she served in various positions. The major focus of her work has been on serving vulnerable children and families. She also serves on several community workgroups is a grant writer and group facilitator/trainer for several social service agencies.
