Dr. S. M. Niaz Arifin received his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Notre Dame in July 2013. He received his M.S. from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2006, and B.S. from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 2004. He is currently working at the Vector-Borne Disease Network (VecNet) project at the University of Notre Dame. He served as a software developer at Xcision Medical Systems, California and the Rails Online Database project at Sabre Holdings Corporation, Texas. His research interests include Data Warehousing, Agent-Based Modeling & Simulation, Geographic Information Systems, etc
