Professional Experience and Accomplishments Joe Brown is an independent producer of film and video. His films have screened at the Birmingham Sidewalk Festival, Anthology Film Archives, Aurora Picture Show, Wild and Scenic Film Festival, Dallas International Film Festival, and multiple other venues. Brown directed the Colorado Environmental Film Festival from 2007 to 2010, served as the Creative Producer of the Broadcast Education Association’s (BEA) “Festival of Media Arts” in 2012 and 2013, and is currently a Board Member “At Large” with the University Film and Video Association (UFVA). Brown has been awarded numerous fellowships, including a Harvard Undergraduate Research Fellowship, a Flaherty Film Seminar Fellowship, and a Southern Environmental Law Center Fellowship.
