Dr. Kala Blakely has been an adult nurse practitioner for four years. Her practice initiatives focus on providing women's health and primary care to those in rural Alabama. Dr. Blakely's faculty practice is her motivation for scholarship. She desires to bring quality healthcare to those in underserved areas. Dr. Blakely teaches in the adult-gerontology primary care track. She also serves on the UAB School of Nursing Alumni Board and enjoys involvement in numerous other professional organizations.
