Tyra Hildebrand began her role working with Teach For America graduate students in December of 2010. In that capacity, she manages the programming, academic advising and coordination of the teacher licensing requirements for the TFA students throughout their two year program of study at Marquette. Tyra is a former middle school social studies teacher and school administrator who has worked in an alternative school as well as charter schools in Milwaukee and Minneapolis. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and her secondary teaching license from Connecticut College. Her Master of Education degree, which focused on Administration, Planning and Social Policy, was completed at Harvard University. Prior to her position at Marquette, Tyra was a faculty member and instructor at Concordia University Wisconsin where she served as the Director of the Graduate Teacher Certification Program for several years. She is currently working on her doctoral degree in Educational Policy and Leadership at Marquette.
