B.S., Universidad Javeriana; M.S., Universidad de Los Andes; Ph.D., University of Maryland Sergio Alvarez's current research is in the areas of data mining and machine learning, particularly as applied to the analysis of clinical medical data. He is also interested in foundational issues related to performance analysis of data mining and machine learning systems.
