She is currently working on a series of new projects about religion and spirituality in public institutions including port and maritime contexts, airports, and the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives. In 2014-15 she is serving as the chair of the Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies Program at Brandeis University and as the Chair of the Committee on Professional Ethics of the American Sociological Association.
