Peter Kaminsky earned his doctor of philosophy and master of arts degrees in music theory from the Eastman School of Music and a bachelor’s degree in music education, with a concentration in piano, from Boston University.
He taught at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and at Louisiana State University before joining the University of Connecticut faculty in 1993.
