Timothy S. Brown is the author of Weimar Radicals: Nazis and Communists between Authenticity and Performance (Berghahn, 2009). He is co-editor, with Lorena Anton, of Between the Avant Garde and the Everyday: Subversive Politics in Europe, 1958-2008 (forthcoming, Berghahn, 2010). His current project is a monograph entitled 1968: West Germany in the World, which will appear with Cambridge University Press. Professor Brown’s recent articles include “Music as a Weapon? Ton Steine Scherben and the Politics of Rock in Cold War Berlin” (German Studies Review) “1968 East and West: Divided Germany as a Case Study in Transnational History” (American Historical Review). Professor Brown coordinates the graduate program in history.
