Lisa R. Lattuca

职称:Professor

所属学校:University of Michigan-Ann Arbor

所属院系:Higher Education

所属专业:Higher Education/Higher Education Administration

联系方式:734.647.1979

简介

Lisa Lattuca’s scholarship focuses on issues in higher education, including the interactions of curriculum, teaching, student learning; and faculty attitudes, values, and practices. She examines how faculty attitudes and activities related to curricular planning and instruction influence student learning, why and how faculty adopt new forms of knowledge production (e.g., interdisciplinary research), and how both disciplinary and interdisciplinary perspectives affect faculty work and student learning in higher education. With funding from the National Science Foundation and the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, Lattuca has explored these topics in undergraduate engineering programs, working with interdisciplinary teams of faculty and graduate students from education and engineering. These projects have led to invitations to speak at the National Academy of Engineering, participate in working groups convened by the Association for the Study of Engineering Education, and serve as an associate editor of the Journal of Engineering Education. She is also a current or past member of the editorial boards of the Journal of Higher Education, Research in Higher Education, and the international journal, Higher Education. Lattuca earned her PhD from the University of Michigan School of Education before accepting appointments at Loyola University Chicago, the Spencer Foundation, and Penn State.
