Dr. Christy Jen grew up in Taipei, Taiwan but has been living in the United States since the age of 15. Christy received her Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Washington in 2005 and in 2009. She continued with training and received a Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC. Upon graduation, she joined the University of Michigan School of Dentistry as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthodontics and Pediatric dentistry in 2011. Dr. Jen serves as the Director of the Pediatric Dentistry Service at Mott Children's Hospital. She is in a full time faculty, clinical track position, and has private practice in the School of Dentistry Pediatric Dentistry Faculty Practice. She is involved in teaching at the undergraduate, graduate pediatric dentistry and hospital dentistry clinic. Her interests include dentistry for children with special health care needs. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and is also an active member of several dental organizations. Dr. Jen volunteers for dental missions internationally and is fluent in both English and Mandarin.
