Michael Gould has received international recognition as a performer and scholar in the field of contemporary percussion performance and pedagogy. Having served for several years as percussion specialist at Huis Ten Bosch European resort in Nagasaki, Japan, he has performed with leading artists from around world, including pan virtuoso "Boogsie" Sharp and Brazil's Sao Paulo All-Stars. He also served as Director of Kawatana City’s Rsekai Ongaku Kenkyukai - World Music Ensemble. Professor Gould has toured nationally as percussionist/drumset specialist with the Dallas Brass and can also be heard on the Seabreeze label with jazz artist Miles Osland. He has also performed with the Lexington Philharmonic, Top Brass, SaxonUs Civil War Band, Nevada Symphony Orchestra, and the Las Vegas Percussion Quartet. He has served on the faculty of Illinois Summer Youth Music and the Bands of America-World Percussion Symposium.
