I am a professor at the University of California, Irvine, where I teach in the Department of Logic and Philosophy of Science. I grew up in Austria and received my doctorate in philosophy from the University of Salzburg in 2006. After that, I spent two years as a postdoc at the Konrad Lorenz Institute for Evolution and Cognition Research near Vienna. I moved to Irvine in 2008, where I was assistant professor before 2010.
